Do you eat your food storage?

Like I'm supposed to, I have bags upon bags of wheat in my basement! But what on earth am I supposed to with it all? You can only make so much bread, you know. So, my perfectly fabulous hubby calls me all excited from work the other day about "a lady from the internet" that has figured out a way to use all those bags of wheat in real life!

My First Before & After

I've been shopping for nightstands nigh unto a year now and just can't bring myself to spend the outrageous amounts required even for the cheesy Wal-Mart types starting at $80. So, after being continually inspired by my amazingly resourceful Craft Godess Hero......Lindsay Prigmore, my amazingly talented niece of

That's So Cuegly!

fame (check her out at cuegly.blogspot.com) I have become a DI junkie, stopping almost daily, waiting patiently for the perfect nightstands to appear. After weeks of dedication, I finally scored two of these lovely specimens for just $10 each. After a trip to the hardware store for black lacquer spray paint, a few peices of scrapbook paper from my stash, and a rub down with some steel wool. I came up with this beauty!!! What do ya think of that? Thanks Linds!!!!

Who ever heard of HOMEMADE English Muffins?

So..... I ran out of brown sugar the other day and didn't have time to hit the store since I was in the middle of making an amazing recipe that is one of those you just can't walk away from. So I used my Domestic Godess Super Powers and turned to the internet. And guess what! I found a recipe for Brown Sugar!!! So this of course started me thinking about all the things I use on a daily basis that I could actually create myself and therefore.......SAVE MYSELF SOME CASH!!!
So wa la!!! Homemade English Muffins! Crazy, huh? The craziest part tho......you cook them on a pancake griddle!! So fun & so yummy! My family couldn't get enough of them and keep asking, "When ya gonna make some more of them muffins, Ma?" Well, not exactly like that, but it's best not to forget Buck's Heber roots, right?
